Yes, our generator works entirely in the browser. Passwords are created using the Web Crypto API and are never sent anywhere — everything happens on your device.
It is recommended to use passwords of 12 to 16 characters for regular accounts and 20+ characters for critical services such as banking and email accounts.
A strong password contains at least 12 characters, includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. It should not contain dictionary words or personal information.
The more character types you use, the stronger the password. However, a long password with only letters can be stronger than a short one with all character types.
